I’m an Associate Professor of Philosophy at West Virginia University, specializing in the history and philosophy of psychology.

I’ve written essays about belief, intelligence, and the interplay between common sense and scientific ways of thinking about minds.

I’m currently co-editing a couple of books: Introducing Philosophy of Mind, Today and Modern Mind: Essays in Honor of Gary Hatfield.

I regularly teach courses titled Problems of Philosophy; Brains, Minds, & Experiments; Philosophy of Mind; Philosophy of Science; and Philosophy of Race.
